Where is Abu Dhabi Country?

Geography – The region of the Arabian or Persian Gulf, which is rich in oil and strategically important, is where the United Arab Emirates may be found. It is located on the border between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In the extreme west and southwest parts of the United Arab Emirates, along the southern shore of the Persian Gulf, is where you’ll find Abu Dhabi.

Its coordinates are as follows: latitude 22 degrees 40 minutes north, longitude 51 degrees east, and latitude 56 degrees east. To its north, it shares a border with the emirate of Dubai as well as the emirate of Sharjah. If islands are excluded, the Emirate has a total land area of 67,340 square kilometers, which is equivalent to 26,000 square miles.

This represents about 87% of the entire land area of the United Arab Emirates. Off the shore of the Emirate’s 700-kilometer-long (430-mile-long) coastline are around 200 islands, which are included in its territorial seas. The landscape of the Emirate is characterized by low-lying sandy terrain that is scattered with sand dunes that reach heights of more than 300 meters (980 feet) in certain locations that are located further south.

The western margins of the Hajar Mountains may be seen extending towards the eastern half of the Emirate.
The highest point in Abu Dhabi and the city’s only peak, Hafeet Mountain, can be found to the south of Al-Ain City.
Its elevation ranges from 1,100 to 1,400 meters (3,600 to 4,600 feet).
Over the course of the last decade, land cultivation and irrigation for agricultural and forestation purposes have resulted in an increase in the size of “green” areas in the emirate, bringing the total percentage of “green” land to approximately 5% of the total land area.
